The Indiana State Police will once again partner with the Drug Enforcement Administration for their 26th “Prescription Drug Take Back” initiative from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM this Saturday.

The “Take Back” initiative seeks to prevent prescription drug abuse and theft through proper disposal of unwanted prescription drugs.

Needles or sharps will not be accepted for disposal.

Collection sites will be set up nationwide, including most Indiana State Police Posts, for expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.

Other drop off points include the Vincennes Police Department, Knox County Sheriff’s Department, and Lawrence County, Illinois Sheriff’s Department.

The service is free and anonymous with no questions asked.
